Richard C. Olney

Richard ‘Red’ C. Olney, 88 of Temperance, MI and formerly of New Boston, MI, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, OH. Born June 25, 1925 in Detroit, MI, he was the son of Percy Jesse and Ethel Bae (Swisher) Olney. He married Lynn Keller on October 23, 1948 in Taylor, MI. Red was employed as a Mill Wright for Great Lakes Steel for 40 years, retiring December 31, 1986. He was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors and one of the promoters of the Historical Monroe Antique Show.

Red is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lynn. Children, Mitchell Olney, Lyle Olney and Steven (Sherry) Olney. Grandchildren, Paul, Korey and Lindsey Olney. Meagan Olney, Dawn Adkins, Vincent Paquette and 4 great grandchildren.
